Can you tell me how to change the text colour on the comments.
All comments on the site either on the downloads or member profiles are showing as white text on a white background

This is interesting, because the color of the fonts is #444.
The part of the style.css:

centermenu-body {
    clear: both;
    color: #444444;
    font: 14px arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
    padding: 10px 5px;
}

I managed to get it changed by changing the text at the top of style.css to:

body {
	background: #000 url(images/background.jpg) fixed no-repeat center top;
  font: 12px Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
  color: #000;
  margin: 0; 
  padding: 0; 
}

I think the colour being set to #fff was overriding the rest of the stylesheet

Better if you make #444444 color ->

color: #333 !important;
